josie tang

Josie Tang (Jo) is a multi-hyphenate artist, creative, and Disabled advocate working across photography, art direction, content creation, and visual storytelling. They are based between Cornwall and London, graduating from Falmouth University with a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Styling and Art Direction in 2026.

Key themes in their work are the body, chronic illness, and queer of colour identity. Their art practice has become a meditative process and means to understand and reclaim their lived experiences of Disability and being sick, and through this, a form of Disability activism.

Alongside independent creative practice, they contribute to conversations and projects around accessibility and representation within fashion and cultural spaces. Jo has worked as a Disability consultant for organisations such as Tilting the Lens for their major fashion retailer in providing feedback on adaptive fashion for the Disabled community.

Driven by a commitment to amplify underrepresented voices, their work pulls from lived experience and is rooted in storytelling as a form activism. Jo utilises social media as a platform to raise awareness and amplify marginalised voices – passionate about advocating for those living with chronic illnesses, especially invisible disabilities. They blend fashion and Disability with content on styling for Disability, and have worked with brands, such as Neo Walk, By Acre, Cool Crutches, Visible, and more, to help normalise the use of mobility aids in young people.
